I picked a box or two of homegrown gooseberries and wondered what to do with them. I had hardly tried them before - the odd bit of jam or whatnot, so I was unsure where to start with them.
Then I saw Valentine Warner's programme last week and he had a great idea for them. These little beauties are gooseberries that are cooked and sweetened then simply topped with meringue. Easy peasy and pleased the parents.
The only thing I would change next time is to not be scared to add tonnes of sugar!!!
