Why do cats chase their own tail?
I'm sure there's some medical reason, but think about... the cat must know that the tail is attached because when he catches it he'd feel it. Or does he have a really short term memory? Nevermind, it provides us with hours of entertainment. Perhaps he just likes the challenge.
